Exercise has actually been proven to help prolong the length of telomeres! Research has shown that adults that are active, compared to adults that are mostly sedentary, have an advantage of being 9 years younger biologically.

Don't want to get old?

Exercise has aging benefits!

On the ends of your chromosomes, you have DNA called telomeres that are known as your "biological clock". Whenever a cell divides, your telomeres start to shorten. When it becomes too short, they cannot protect your chromosomes anymore, and your cell dies. This results in aging!

Besides that...

Exercise will also help you in your daily life as you grow older. You will be stronger and able to pick up your groceries, mow the lawn, and your risk of getting injured is lowered!
