Benefits of Cardiorespiratory fitness.

A few facts about Cardiorespiratory Fitness.

Cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) refers to the ability of the circulatory and respiratory systems to supply oxygen to skeletal muscles during sustained physical activity.

The cardiovascular system responds to changing demands on the body by adjusting cardiac output, blood flow, and blood pressure. Both heart rate and stroke volume vary directly with the intensity of the exercise performed and many improvements can be made through continuous training.

So how does it affects us exactly in our wellbeing?

Well, turns out that exercising releases endorphins in the brain, which in turn helps relaxing the muscles and relieves tension in the body.

And who hasn’t heard about the mind and the body being so close connected? If your body feels great, your mind will follow, therefore your wellbeing.

After observing a strong combined effect of emotions and CRF levels, studies have found that “individuals with both a low level of negative emotion and a high level of CRF had a 63% lower risk of premature death than those with higher levels of negative emotion and a low level of CRF.”
